2015-02-20_0715I am going to make this simple for you.  I like to support veterans when and where I can.  Fortunately we get to teach a few classes each year specifically for military service members and sometimes their families join us as well.  I also like to support veteran owned businesses when and where I can.

We are doing that here today.  The name of this business is Tactical Gear Junkie (short YT commercial here).  I was made aware by an Army veteran friend of mine that there was a nice little tactical store in my hometown run by veterans.  Inside the store they have some camo, mag shingles, and a few other assorted pouches, t-shirts and similar items.  However, next to their little shop is the meat and potatoes of the business which is patches.  They have a number of veterans working in the store making patches, making patches, and making patches.  Sewing machines, and stuff I have no idea what it is were being utilized to make patches.  Did I mention patches?

It seems they are doing well already without any help from us…but who doesn’t want to support a veteran/family owned business, right?  So, watch this video and see what I am giving away.  There will be three winners on this particular giveaway.  Just follow the directions below the video to get in the running.  We will announce a winner next Friday.

Come on, join in, let’s learn together!

To be one of the three winners of a custom name tag please do the following:

  • Subscribe to our Dan’s Depot Youtube Channel
  • Go to the Tactical Gear Junkie Facebook Page, Like the Page, and post this comment:  “Craig Caudill from Nature Reliance School sent me here.”

Done, Done & Done. Thank You Craig. Not only for all the awesome give away’s but for teaching/showing us some really practical and necessary skills & tips to better our lives. Not just for an emergency but ever day too. I wish I was more of an outdoors man like you. Just never enough time or funds to get out there. 🙁

John, we really appreciate you watching and sharing our videos. You are correct in that it is hard to find time and energy at times to get all things we need and sometimes simply want to do in life done. I really appreciate that you offer us some of that time to support and encourage us! Any amount of time you get to be outside is good stuff, even if it is just a few minutes and if you do not have that…I am happy to share my experiences with you so you can get some through your screen with me 🙂

Not a member of FACEBOOK… deleted my account that I had with them. I feel they are intrusive and violate our right to privacy. That being said. Craig Caudill from Nature Reliance School sent me here.”
I do feel it is very good to support our Veterans, as i am one myself. Served 1973 – 1978 was supposed to be 4 and no more they kept me in past my contract release date while aboard ship overseas. So I spent almost an entire year of my life I did not agree to enlisted before getting out. I feel for the ones that they are still doing that to today.
