We have had a great turnout so far with all of the contests and giveaways – from our Urban Survival Basics DVD giveaway to our Scout Fire Steel. Congrats to Dennis Rogers on winning the Fire Steel fire starter. With that being said we are proud to announce our next giveaway.   This giveaway will be totally different from the others.  In fact this contest and giveaway will last two weeks. So you ask what the prize will be for a contest and giveaway that lasts two weeks? We will be giving away a Dan’s Depot Survival Kit with 30 days of food as the grand prize, and the second place winner will get a copy of our survival training DVDs, Wilderness Survival Basics and Urban Survival Basics.

The contest will be conducted in two phases.  Phase 1 will last from today (September 17th) to September 25th at 12pm EST.  Phase 2 will go from September 25th at 12:30pm EST until September 30th at 11:59pm EST.

The instructions are quite simple but VERY different.  The instructions are as follows:

  • Phase 1: Write and submit a paragraph or two (4-15 sentences) here, about why you want to win the Survival Kit and what you’ll do with it if you win it.  This phase will go from September 17th (today) to September 25th at 12pm EST.  Click here to submit your entry. Be sure to invite your friends as well to take part.

  • Phase 2: September 25th at 12:30pm EST it’s voting time.  Grab all of your friends, family, co-workers, and whoever else to come vote for your essay submission.  Each person is only allowed one vote per entry. On September 30th at 11:59pm EST, the voting period will come to an end. Click here to vote.

On October 1st, we will tally up the votes, and at 2:30pm EST the winner (person with most votes) will be announced on our Facebook page.

Well, all my kids think we’re nuts but my husband and I built our B.O.B’s . Our grand children come up here and spend quite a few weeks out of the year with us, so we want to get them some B.O.B’s going. We live 150 miles away from anything. I reminded my daughter of when we used to live in Texas with the hurricanes, and the power would be out for days. She agreed with me. We now live in the desert. Big possibility of earthquakes, power grid failures, and the military base. So I just want my grand kids well prepped for and natural or unnatural disaster that would come this way

Amberr MeadowsKatie, textbooks are quite epeinsxve. Haven’t had to buy any for several years, but I still remember how painful it was buying them before the new semester.
